School to School Support

School to School Support

The teaching school alliance has more than seventy member schools; within these schools are an enormous range of leaders and outstanding practitioners who can work alongside others to develop new practices and secure improvement. School to school support can be commissioned directly by approaching the headteacher and director, who will draft and cost a support plan. From time to time, we can bid for funds to support school to school work direct from the Department for Education. Grants range from £2500 to £20,000 meaning that we can often support a school at no cost.

The Solent Teaching School Alliance believes in greater success for our community by working together and is committed to school improvement through a system of partnerships that draw upon the wide expertise within our network of schools in the area.  We have a proven track record of working with other schools and the capacity and integrity to undertake support for schools in challenging circumstances. This is a by schools for schools model and all of the support available is provided by senior and middle leaders from a wide range of school settings. Our schools have a track record of working with outstanding and underperforming schools in all contexts from diverse urban contexts to rural communities. We have a great deal of expertise in every area from improving the quality of teaching, to leadership coaching, behaviour management, policies and systems, data and tracking, curriculum design, timetabling, financial management, and individual subject support.

We are equipped and committed to working together to provide a personalised, yet robust, package within the secondary, primary and special school sectors.
